Pharm.D is a Six-year course. This course is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and introduced in the year 2008 in India. Pharm.D is aimed to give thorough knowledge & skills for pharmacy practice in India. The course is oriented towards patient safety & therapeutic benefits. The curriculum includes five years of theoretical and practical exposure in pharmacy college and hospital and last(final) year is a total internship in the hospital.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

For admission to the professional course like B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri), B.D.S., B.Pharm & Pharm.D, the State Government, conducts an entrance exam called TSEAMCET every year in the month of April/May. The students are given ranking based on the marks obtained in the test and percentage of marks at intermediate level or 10 + 2 level. Both MPC & BiPC groups are eligible.

Admissions are conducted by the Convenor TSEAMCET in a systematic manner by means of web counselling, based on the combined rank obtained in the TSEAMCET. This opportunity is given to the student to choose the course and college. 70% of seats are filled through the TSEAMCET rank by the Convenor and 30% seats are filled by the management, based on the merit at Intermediate or as per the State government prescribed rules from time to time.

SCHEDULE OF ADMISSIONS

Convenor (General) Quota: Category -A

Usually, the admissions by the TSEAMCET Convenor start in July/Aug. and close by Sep/Oct every year However the schedule may vary from year to year. After the counselling, the leftover seats shall be filled by the colleges through spot admission procedure according to the rules prescribed by the State Government.

Management Quota: Category- B

The Management Seats (Category-B) are filled by the Management as per the schedule and rules prescribed by the State Government.
