Deccan School of Pharmacy, Hyderabad on Thursday the 22nd February 2024 , conducted out reaching Education awareness programs on Intestinal worm infestations and Deworming program, Oral and personal Hygiene in School going Children and on Anaemia- causes, preventive measures with importance on food hobbits and treatment goals – Programs were executed by Pharm.D students under National Service Scheme program(NSS) covering Govt Schools in Hyderabad region under the Guidance of teaching faculty- Dr Maryam and Dr Zeenathunnissa and Zeenath begum and Dr Balaji Reddy, the NSS program officer. The students were given nutritional supplements at the end of the program.
The NSS Unit of Deccan School of Pharmacy organized Medical Health Check up Camp at Jamia Islamia Darululoom Rahmania, Hyderabad on 19th Nov 2018 during National Pharmacy Week – 2018 Celebrations. The Health Check up of more than 500 students by team of doctors from Princess Esra Hospital, Hyderabad. Students were identified with health related issues and appropriate treatment was given free of cost.
(15) Fifteen Help Desk were kept at 05 Five different locations : Owaisi Hospital and Research Centre (OHRC), Princess Esra Hospital, Owaisi Medical Centre, Nampally Railway and Metro Stations and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) on 20th November 2018.
On 22nd November 2019, NSS Unit, Deccan School of Pharmacy organized National Educational Services Programs like Essay, Elocution, Debate Competitions and Pharmacy Quiz.
On 24th November 2018, Blood Donation Camp was conducted at Owaisi Medical Centre, Darussalam, Aghapura. 50 Units of blood were donated by students of B.Pharm. M.Pharm. Pharm.D and Pharm.D (PB) to Blood Bank, Owaisi Hospital and Research Centre, Literary events like Scientific Oral and Poster Presentations and Pharma Anat Fair was conducted at Deccan School of Pharmacy Campus.
