Deccan School of Pharmacy, a minority institution established in 1997 under the aegis of Darusaalam Educational Trust (DET), is a constituent unit of conglomerate group of Deccan group of institutions that run Medical, Engineering, Management and Paramedical courses and is located in the Heart of the ancient Metropolitan city of Hyderabad and in a sprawling multi-institutional integrated campus spread of several acres.
The institution offers;
- Bachelor of Pharmacy – B. Pharm ( a four-year degree course),
- Master of Pharmacy – M. Pharm Programs of two specialisations. Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis)
- Pharm. D – Doctor of Pharmacy – a 6 year integrated post graduate degree course and
- Pharm.D (PB) – A Post Baccalaureate program of three years duration with qualification entry being B.Pharm leading to the award of Doctor of Pharmacy.

The Pharmacy practice programs are conducted in DET run MCI teaching hospitals – Owaisi Health and Research center (OHRC) and Princess Esra Hospitals (PEH) of combined bed strength of over 1500 beds in multi-speciality departments with the latest equipment and on acquired software technologies of drug-disease databases and has a Drug Information Centre (DIC)/ Poison Information Center (PIC) and conducts Pharmacovigilance activities in collaboration with Pharmacy Practice/Pharmacology Department of OHRC.
The college has a dedicated NSS ( National service Scheme ) unit that conducts socio health awareness public health programs/campaigns and health screening camps and conducts service-oriented programs on sensitisation issues be it demonetisation/ swatch programs and other volunteering mobilisation of youth for national development schemes.
